COMMON NAME: PROTEA PINK ICE

Most protea originate from South Africa but the pink ice variety was bred in Australia.

The protea group has over 90 different species. The Protea Pink Ice is one of the most popular varieties and is available from Queensland. They are grown on strong, woody stems tough fibrous green leaves. Their so called petals are called brackets which explain their tough exterior.

They compliment any arrangement. These flowers are particularly hardy and long lasting.

All Proteas like to be under strong light, natural or artificial as it can help prevent their leaves going black.
